Job Objective :
The Logistics Supervisor, supervise maintaining metrics related to center shipping performance, carrier performance, shipping efficiencies and other identified statistics also he will participate in related planning. The role further serves as support throughout the facility providing support and general administrative support where needed.
Environment :
Internal: Operations, Quality, Management.
External: 3rd party service providers for PLC, Consignees Audits and Regulatory agencies.
Key responsibility :
- Supervise data entry and data management support of center shipping and inventory statistics as well as carrier performance to assist team with inventory and logistics management
- supervise and develop reporting packages for publication to management as well as operations.
- 'Supervise the forecasting & planning of domestic Routes, i distribution to consignee locally and internationally of plasma to ensure compliance, safety, and conformance to procedures as specified by Standard Operating Procedures, cGMP's, and OSHA standards
- Interview, hire, train, and directly supervise non-exempt employees in the Plasma planning group. Monitor performance, employee relations, and quality standards to ensure effective work team performance is maintained.
- Supervise Customs clearance and regulatory permissions are in place for all of GEPD plasma Logistics activity.
- Supervise the Tracking, consolidating, and reporting detail of identified logistics issues to the field to provide feedback and assist with improvements
- Follow up on mitigation action plan execution & and update all stakeholders on the progress during the scheduled bi-weekly planning call
- supervise carrier performance statistics
- supervise logistics meetings/calls as needed, record action items, timelines, and follow up assisting team with problem resolution and process enhancements
- Any roles or responsibilities may be changed based on the business needs.
Reports all unsafe working situations or conditions to supervisor or Manager.
- Work in conjunction with management in preparation of annual budgets and help to ensure budget adherence. Perform strategic planning to verify facilities and head count levels are appropriate and will meet the demands of the required tasks.
- Partner with a wide variety of internal and external customers including manufacturing, freight carriers, quality operations, and numerous other groups on a variety of issues.
- Analyze internal and external factors that may affect the plans and their level of significance on plans.
- Regular follow-up with Supply Chain on shipping status to reflect the updates (if any) into planning tools & and highlight any new risk (if any) with a mitigation action plan.
- supervise that each forecasted plasma shipment, meets all applicable quality, storage, and production requirements and ensure that each plasma lot is delivered in a timely manner to appropriate customers
- Develop and maintain Logistics SOP's in accordance with regulatory agency and company
- Other duties as assigned.
Academic experience required :
- minimum of A Bachelor's degree in one of the sciences, business administration, engineering, or some other related field.
Professional Experience Required :
Preferred working knowledge of manufacturing processes related to raw plasma. Inventory controls, and strong knowledge of cGMP's and other regulatory requirements.
Must demonstrate leadership and independent decision-making capabilities, have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), and possess a high level of urgency. The ability to adapt to changing priorities is essential.
A minimum of 5 years' experience in logistics, or distribution is required for this level.
Computing Skills :
MS Office is a must, ERP (SAP and MIS Oracle) preferred, previous experience with route planning and determination tool is preferred.
