About the job Electrical Power Supervisor (Technician)
Job Objective
Electrical Supervisor Technician will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repair tasks for all Electrical Utilities Equipment in the manufacturing Site. This includes maintaining and troubleshooting Transformers, Generators, MDBs, Sub panels , Lighting systems and rest of electrical mobile equipment. The technician will work to ensure that all equipment and systems are functioning efficiently and comply with industry standards and regulations.
Environment
Internal: GEPD management members, manufacturing, quality & service divisions.
External: In absence of Maintenance Manager, equipment suppliers and vendors, Health Authorities, government authorities and auditors.
Key responsibility
Routine Maintenance:
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on Utilities Electrical system Equipment (Transformers, Generators, RMUs , MDBs, Sub panels, Lighting & electrical mobile equipment.
Inspect and test Utilities electrical equipment to diagnose issues and ensure they are operating correctly. Follow up on the stock of spare parts for electrical utilities equipment
Corrective Maintenance:
- Identify and repair electrical faults in equipment and systems.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergencies to minimize downtime.
- Replace or repair defective parts, using hand tools and power tools.
- Use computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) such as SAP-PM to log maintenance activities and track equipment performance.
Compliance, Quality and Safety:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with regulatory requirements and standards.
Conduct safety checks to identify potential hazards.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with the electrical utilities lead and other team members to coordinate maintenance activities.
Participate in training and development programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
Leadership:
- Provide leadership, coaching, monitoring and guidance for Electrical Technicians team
Academic experience required
- Diploma or associate degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Certification in Electrical Safety, or relevant technical areas is a plus.
Professional Experience Required
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in maintenance.
- Expertise in maintaining Electrical utilities is a plus.
Computing Skills
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft office, Autocad and software systems (SAP).
- Familiarity in using maintenance management software systems (SAP PM or similar).
- Familiarity in using BMS Software program
Personal Skills
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to Lead and coach the team of technicians
- Proficiency in using maintenance tools and equipment.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
Languages
Written and spoken English and Arabic.
