Blade Repair Techs - Germany

Germany Blade Repair Project (Mid-July 2026, 2 Months)

Requirements (All Candidates)

• 4 x Rope Access Level 3 (RA3) and 4 x Rope Access Level 1 (RA1)
• Minimum 3 years' experience in wind turbine blade repairs
• Mandatory: Rope Access certification (L3 or L1 as applicable)
• Mandatory: GWO Blade Repair certification
• Preferred nationalities: Polish, Latvian, Romanian, or other cost-effective options
• Rotation: 3 weeks on / 2 weeks off

RA3 – Rope Access Level 3 Supervisor (4 Positions)

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise rope access and blade repair activities
• Conduct risk assessments, method statements, and rescue planning
• Perform blade inspections, repairs, and maintenance
• Supervise and mentor RA1/RA2 technicians
• Ensure HSE and IRATA compliance
• Coordinate with client and provide work/safety reports

Requirements

• IRATA Level 3 certification (mandatory)
• Minimum 2–5 years rope access experience
• Minimum 1 year as IRATA Level 3 Supervisor
• Experience in wind turbine maintenance and blade repairs
• Basic operational English

• Blade Repair Training

RA1 – Blade Specialist / Blade Technician (4 Positions)

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect and assess blade damage (cracks, erosion, lightning damage, delamination, etc.)
• Perform composite repairs using fiberglass, carbon fiber, and epoxy systems
• Carry out leading-edge, structural, and gelcoat repairs
• Prepare repair documentation and damage reports
• Work safely at height using rope access systems

Requirements

• Minimum 2–5 years' experience in blade inspection and repair
• Strong composite repair knowledge
• IRATA/SPRAT Rope Access Level 1+ preferred
• Technical/vocational education
• Basic English communication

Preferred Certifications

• GWO BST
• GWO Blade Repair Training
• IRATA/SPRAT Rope Access
• OEM Composite Repair Certification

Key Hiring Criteria

Rope Access certified (L3 for supervisors, L1 for technicians)
GWO Blade Repair certified
Minimum 3 years blade repair experience
Wind turbine blade inspection and repair background
Basic English communication skills
Available from mid-July 2026 for 2 months
