A great opportunity to join a renowned multidisciplinary group, seeking to expand its small but thriving Ecology team!
This role is for you if you:
- Are seeking excellent support and training, in particular, support to obtain protected species licenses / Natural England licenses and certifications
- Want the flexibility to work from home as much as you like!
- OR would like the option to work on a hybrid-basis from the Leeds office
- Want to work on an interesting range of projects across a wide range of sectors including renewables, residential, logistics, education and leisure, and great exposure at all stages of projects - no pigeon-holing!

What you'll be doing:
- Designing and managing ecological surveys and producing a range of ecological reports
- Undertaking extended phase 1 habitat surveys, UK Habitat Classification surveys , and protected species surveys
- Liaising with clients, professional advisors, contractors and the general public.
- Building and maintaining effective working relationships with clients, subcontractors and other third parties

To apply for this role you will need:
- 2+ full years experience in ecological consultancy (post-graduation)
- Bachelors degree in a relevant subject and Qualifying membership of CIEEM or higher
- Strong field skills covering a range of protected species and habitats, ideally with at least one survey license or working towards
- Knowledge of BREEAM, Defra Biodiversity Metric, and UK Habitat Classification with a strong understanding of relevant legislation and planning policy
- Excellent report writing skills / experience (including Preliminary Ecological Appraisals and Ecological Impact Assessments)
- Full UK manual driving license
