About the job Landscape Planner - All Levels (Graduate to Principal)
Are you a Landscape Planner who cares about climate, biodiversity and social equity?
Are you looking for a role that offers hands-on mentoring, and a stake in the business you work for - whatever your seniority?
We're looking for Landscape Planners at all levels - Graduate, Consultant, Senior and Principal - to join a renowned landscape and planning practice in one of their inspiring England studios - Peterborough, Oxford, Cambridge, Bristol, Exeter, or Manchester.
About the role:
You'll be working collaboratively with multidisciplinary colleagues on exciting and high profile projects throughout the UK, including renewable energy schemes (onshore and offshore wind, solar and battery energy storage systems), carbon capture and storage, data centres, coastal defences, urban regeneration, new housing developments, and transmission and transport infrastructure.
Alongside an interesting workload and opportunity to work on meaningful projects, you'll be joining a people-first business where success is shared, not siloed. We're talking profit sharing, a real voice in how the business is run, and a culture built around trust and flexibility.
You'll be supported to progress, with chartership costs covered, paid professional subscriptions, structured mentoring and a strong CPD programme - while still having space for life outside work.
That means flexible working hours and hybrid working, FT or PT options, 29 days annual leave PLUS bank holidays, enhanced shared parental leave, sabbatical options, paid volunteer days, time each year to come together and celebrate employee ownership, and more.
About you:
For Graduates and Consultant roles, you'll need 2+ years UK experience in landscape architecture, with some experience of landscape planning / LVIA work. You'll have a good understanding of the UK planning system, and GIS, graphics and/or AutoCAD experience/skills would be desirable - as would experience working in client facing/multidisciplinary environments.
For Senior and Principal roles, we're looking for the following skills and experience:
- Good track record in Landscape Planning (ideally 4+ years) within a consultancy environment
- Chartered or working toward Chartership
- Strong LVIA skills with experience leading and authoring
- Experience managing projects and supporting juniors
- A creative and collaborative approach to applying environmental considerations
- GIS and expert witness skills/experience highly desirable but not essential
