Position Overview
The VP, HCP Marketing is responsible for developing and executing the professional marketing strategy that drives physician adoption, prescribing behavior, and clinical credibility for the company's portfolio. This role translates clinical and scientific data into compelling, compliant messaging and equips the field organization with high-impact promotional tools.
This leader partners closely with Sales, Medical Affairs, Consumer Marketing, and Commercial Operations to ensure a unified, differentiated value proposition across dermatology, med spa, and telehealth channels, including coordinated ownership of the company's HCP and consumer digital ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
HCP Strategy & Positioning
- Define the HCP segmentation, targeting, and positioning strategy across dermatologists, primary care, med spas, and telehealth providers.
- Craft the core professional value proposition grounded in clinical data and real-world evidence.
- Lead competitive positioning and message differentiation.
- Develop HCP sampling strategy and promotional pull-through plans aligned to launch objectives and prescribing behavior.
Promotional Materials & Field Enablement
- Own development of all HCP-facing materials (detail aids, visual aids, digital tools, leave-behinds).
- Partner with Sales and Training to ensure effective field execution and message pull-through.
- Develop omnichannel HCP engagement strategies (digital, virtual, in-person).
- Own CRM strategy, HCP engagement automation, and omnichannel orchestration capabilities supporting the field organization.
KOL & Congress Strategy
- Build and manage Key Opinion Leader (KOL) strategy.
- Lead scientific congress planning and execution.
- Oversee speaker bureau programs and peer-to-peer education.
Medical Education & Content
- Develop educational programs for physicians and provider networks.
- Ensure alignment with Medical Affairs on scientific accuracy and compliance.
- Support development of disease awareness and treatment pathway content.
Market Insights
- Lead HCP-focused market research and insights generation.
- Translate insights into actionable marketing strategies.
- Partner cross-functionally on commercial analytics infrastructure and HCP engagement measurement strategies.
Candidate Profile | Who You Are
- 12+ years in pharmaceutical/biotech marketing, including significant HCP marketing experience and progressive leadership responsibility spanning both strategic oversight and day-to-day management of high-performing marketing organizations.
- Launch experience in dermatology, aesthetics, or specialty pharma preferred.
- Strong understanding of clinical data interpretation and promotional compliance.
- Experience building modern omnichannel HCP engagement models that integrate field execution, digital engagement, and CRM orchestration.
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams and field alignment.
