About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Corporate Project Manager to support our expanding Program Management and Leadership teams. Reporting into the Project Management Office (PMO) under Project and Program Management, this role is responsible for managing cross-functional corporate projects that directly support company growth, strategic initiatives, and executive decision-making. This role requires a candidate who understands basic drug development principles, has a demonstrated ability to problem-solve and handle multiple tasks concurrently, possesses skills to translate discourse into actionable and trackable deliverables, is undaunted by complex deliverables, and has a successful project management track record. The role includes support for high-attention meetings involving the CEO, CFO and other Executive Team members, such as at investor conferences or banking meetings.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Project Management
Plan, manage, and track strategic projects across business functions such as investor relations, business development, financing strategy, and commercial readiness.
Develop project plans with clear and communicable milestones, dependencies, risks, and deliverables; track and maintain up-to-date documentation across projects and portfolio.
Monitor organizational capacity to inform project planning, manage resource constraints, and recommend prioritization tradeoffs where needed.
Identify and mitigate project risks, impediments, and dependencies across functions.
Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration and maintain momentum through regular touchpoints, tracking tools, and structured follow-ups.
Communication and Reporting
Report progress against goals and milestones across the corporate project portfolio.
Collaborate with the Executive Team and Finance to support business planning, resourcing, prioritization, and monthly portfolio financial reporting.
Prepare clear, executive-ready communications, including project updates, decision briefs, board/investor summaries, and presentation materials.
Handle confidential information with the utmost discretion and professionalism.
Executive Team Support
Reports to Head of Project and Program Management and partners closely to drive cross-functional execution of corporate-level initiatives.
Provide logistical support for CEO and CFO during investor conferences, banking meetings, or external corporate events, including scheduling, prep materials, and follow-up documentation.
Attend critical CEO/CFO meetings to capture key takeaways, assign actionable next steps, and update project plans accordingly.
Ensure actions from meetings are captured, communicated, tracked, and followed through to completion.
Skills and Qualifications
Education & Experience: Bachelors degree in a relevant field (e.g., business, finance, science, or engineering) and 4 or more years of project management experience, including leading company-level initiatives that involve multiple functions and platforms (e.g., Finance, Commercial, Business Development).
Project and Strategic Management: Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects aligned to strategic corporate priorities such as investor relations, commercial growth, or corporate development.
Executive Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to confidently engage senior leaders, distill and effectively communicate complex topics for executive-level audiences.
Analytical and Technical Skills: Proficient in analyzing and interpreting data and project metrics to inform decisions; comfortable using tools like Asana, Smartsheet, Monday, MS Project and similar platforms.
Professionalism and Adaptability: Operates with discretion and sound judgment in fast-paced, dynamic environments; exceptional organizational skills and ability to combine attention to detail with high-level perspective.
Preferred: PMP certification or equivalent.
Location:
New Haven, Connecticut. This is a hybrid role that requires 3 days per week in our New Haven office.
Business travel, up to 50%, depending on business activity, may be required; primarily domestic, but occasionally international.
Participation at meetings and other engagements outside of standard core hours as required.
Salary and Benefits
This is a senior associate-level position, and compensation is commensurate with experience. The expected base salary range for this role is $120,000-$150,000. In addition to base salary, the role includes eligibility for an annual performance bonus and participation in the company employee stock option plan.
