Position Overview

The Vice President, Consumer Marketing and Experience will be a core member of the commercial leadership team and will lead the development, buildout, and execution of the full U.S. commercial organization for the company's first product launch. Reporting to the Senior Vice President, US Commercial, this executive will oversee performance marketing, digital platforms, CRM, and customer experience to create a seamless, high-performing patient journey. The role partners closely with HCP Marketing, Sales, Market Access, and Commercial Operations to ensure a coordinated, insight-driven customer journey across consumer and provider touchpoints, including shared ownership of the company's consumer and HCP digital ecosystem.

This leader will be responsible for building the team, infrastructure, and processes needed to deliver a high-impact launch in a fast-paced, high-growth biotech environment. The ideal candidate combines hands-on launch execution experience with strong organizational leadership and a builder's mindset. They will also bring recent marketing product launch experience to the team, preferably in the Dermatology & Medical Aesthetics or digital health therapeutics space.

Key Responsibilities

Consumer Strategy & Growth

  • Define and execute the end-to-end consumer growth strategy across all channels, ensuring alignment with broader enterprise objectives while tailoring approaches to the unique dynamics of the evolving dermatology therapeutics market.
  • Establish a powerful brand identity that effectively differentiates Veradermics from legacy topical treatments and hormonal oral alternatives.
  • Tailor specific, nuanced growth and engagement strategies to the unique demographics of both the male and female pattern hair loss markets, maximizing market penetration across distinct consumer cohorts.
  • Lead annual strategic and financial planning processes, including long-range planning and operating plans, establishing brand ambition, forecasts, and resource allocation to deliver business objectives.
  • Establish and manage multi-million-dollar marketing budgets tied to Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), Return on Ad Spend (ROAS), and long-term Lifetime Value (LTV) targets.
  • Own full-funnel performance, from awareness, to acquisition, and finally retention.

Performance Marketing

  • Oversee and scale an integrated DTC media mix spanning search, paid social, influencer/creator networks, streaming/CTV, programmatic, and video channels to capture and convert consumer intent.
  • Bridge modern digital health patient acquisition strategies (e.g., streamlined digital health workflows, digital pharmacy touchpoints) with traditional pharmaceutical commercial compliance.
  • Source, select, and manage elite external agency partners and internal performance teams, driving continuous optimization of conversion funnels and media spend.
  • Drive optimization of CAC, ROAS, and conversion rates.

Digital Marketing & Platforms

  • Co-own the corporate digital strategy, consumer web properties, and the broader healthcare provider (HCP) digital ecosystem in close partnership with HCP Marketing and Commercial leadership to ensure a unified message.
  • Oversee the implementation of advanced consumer marketing analytics tools, customer data platforms (CDPs), and commercial dashboards to drive data-informed optimizations and real-time business reviews.
  • Build secure, frictionless, and compliant digital platform experiences that seamlessly transition consumers from clinical education and brand awareness to point-of-care delivery.

Customer Experience (CX)

  • Design and scale a seamless patient experience across onboarding, telehealth fulfillment/pharmacy integration, and ongoing support channels.
  • Oversee medical call centers, digital patient services, and patient navigation programs to establish an exceptionally high bar for customer support and brand trust.
  • Ensure all consumer touchpoints, patient support services, and digital interactions strictly adhere to FDA, HIPAA, and relevant healthcare regulatory standards.
  • Drive improvements in satisfaction, adherence, and retention.

Lifecycle & Retention Marketing

  • Define long-term brand differentiation and value propositions for emerging pipeline assets and lifecycle extensions.
  • Design and execute CRM-driven lifecycle marketing programs (via email, SMS, and custom re-engagement models) specifically optimized to combat the high discontinuation rates common in the hair loss market.
  • Leverage VDPHL01's strong Phase 3 clinical data, proprietary gel-matrix technology, and superior safety profile to continually reinforce product value, driving long-term compliance and adherence.
  • Optimize patient journey and long-term value.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Forge highly collaborative, deeply integrated partnerships with Regulatory, Legal, Medical Affairs, and Compliance functions to build a bulletproof, efficient MLR review process for all high-volume consumer assets.
  • Work in lockstep with the SVP, US Commercial, the Chief Commercial & Strategy Officer, Sales, Market Access, and Commercial Operations to ensure aligned market entry.

People Leadership & Culture

  • Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing commercial operations organization.
  • Coach and develop leaders, ensuring succession planning and talent scalability as the company grows.
  • Promote a collaborative, mission-driven culture aligned with company values.


Candidate Profile | Who You Are

  • 12+ years in consumer marketing, growth marketing, or DTC environments, with progressive leadership experience spanning both strategic oversight and day-to-day management of high-performing marketing organizations.
  • Proven recent experience building or scaling consumer marketing and experience teams, ideally in emerging biotech, first-launch environments, or digital health, with a track record of success.
  • Experience managing large digital marketing budgets ($25M+ preferred).
  • Strong background in performance marketing, analytics, and customer experience.
  • Deep expertise in DTC marketing, including television/streaming media and modern digital/social acquisition strategies.
  • Demonstrated success operating in rapidly evolving consumer engagement environments, including influencer, creator, and emerging platform ecosystems.
  • Experience in healthcare, telehealth, aesthetics, or wellness preferred.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, decision-making, and team-building skills.
  • Ability to operate at both strategic and highly operational levels.
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced scientific degree preferred.
