About the job NPI Engineer

Responsibilities:
-Lead end‑to‑end NPI program execution from prototype build through mass production readiness.

-Develop and maintain NPI project timelines, deliverables, and risk assessments.

-Coordinate cross‑functional teams (Manufacturing, QA, Sourcing, Planning, Tooling, Test, etc.) to meet customer milestones.

-Act as primary technical liaison with customers for NPI builds, engineering queries, design changes, and technical reviews.

-Review customer specifications, product drawings, and BOM packages to ensure manufacturability and clarity.

-Drive process development, validation, and documentation for new products.

-Develop or review PFMEA, Control Plans, Work Instructions, and Process Flow Diagrams.

-Identify and implement design‑for‑manufacturing (DFM) improvements and drive engineering change management (ECN/ECO).

-Plan and execute engineering builds, including coordinating materials readiness, build strategy, and build report preparation.

-Analyze build issues, lead root-cause investigations, and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).

-Support customer audits, internal audits, and new product quality reviews.

-Monitor NPI quality metrics (yield, defects, cycle time) and develop improvement actions as needed.

-Work with sourcing teams to review part manufacturability, supplier readiness, and cost targets.

-Review and approve supplier PPAPs or equivalent qualification documentation.

Requirement:
-Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent years of working experiences

-Minimum 3–5 years of working experience in NPI, Manufacturing Engineering, product industrialization, or related functions within a manufacturing environment, preferably in a contract manufacturing (EMS/ODM/JDM) industry.

-Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes (machining, sheet metal, assembly, PCBA, testing, etc.)

-Strong leadership, communication, and customer‑facing skills.

-Excellent problem‑solving and analytical thinking.

-Ability to manage multiple projects under tight timelines.

-Team‑oriented with strong cross-functional collaboration ability.
