Senior Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Cardiopulmonary Care Specialist

Location: Elmira, NY (Finger Lakes Region) | Compensation: $33 - $50.50/hour ($68,640 - $105,040 annually)

Position Overview

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Senior Registered Respiratory Therapist, where you'll provide critical cardiopulmonary care services in a state-of-the-art facility. This role offers the opportunity to work autonomously while collaborating with an interdisciplinary medical team to deliver exceptional patient care.

Essential Responsibilities

• Assess, implement, and manage comprehensive respiratory care treatment plans
• Operate and maintain advanced respiratory equipment including mechanical ventilators
• Perform specialized procedures including arterial blood gas analysis and pulmonary function testing
• Provide critical care support during bronchoscopies and emergency situations
• Deliver patient education and coordinate care planning with healthcare team members
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records

Required Qualifications

• New York State Respiratory Therapy License (or eligible)
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist credential (or eligible within 12 months)
• BLS certification (required within 90 days)
• ACLS certification (required within 1 year)
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

Preferred Qualifications

• One year recent respiratory therapy experience
• Experience with mechanical ventilation and critical care
• Familiarity with EMR systems
