Clinical Nurse Leader - Labor & Delivery (Night Shift)

Position Overview

As the Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC), you'll lead our night shift Labor & Delivery team, ensuring excellence in patient care while managing operational responsibilities. This role offers the perfect blend of clinical practice and leadership, allowing you to make a significant impact on patient outcomes and staff development.

Essential Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and direct patient care, including managing deliveries and OR assistance
• Lead and coordinate patient care activities, including admissions and discharges
• Supervise and mentor nursing staff, promoting professional development and team collaboration
• Manage staffing levels and scheduling to ensure optimal patient care coverage
• Implement and maintain quality improvement initiatives and patient safety protocols
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Oversee inventory management and resource allocation
• Participate in staff recruitment, training, and performance management

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Previous leadership experience in Women's Services, L&D, NICU, or Mother-Baby Units
• Associate Degree in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred)
• BCLS certification (within 30 days of hire)
• ACLS certification (within 1 year of hire)
• Strong clinical skills in delivery and OR procedures
• Excellence in communication and team leadership
