Position Overview

As the PCU Clinical Nurse Coordinator, you'll lead a specialized unit handling complex cases including cardiac monitoring, stroke care, and critical care step-down patients. Our unit specializes in managing advanced medication therapies and treating diverse patient populations requiring intermediate-level care.

Essential Responsibilities

• Coordinate comprehensive patient care delivery across multidisciplinary teams
• Oversee clinical operations and workflow management for a 25-bed progressive care unit
• Lead admission and discharge processes to ensure smooth patient transitions
• Provide clinical mentorship and educational support to nursing staff
• Implement evidence-based practices to enhance patient outcomes
• Manage staff scheduling and resource allocation
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license with Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• Proven experience as a Charge Nurse in Progressive Care or similar setting
• Current BCLS certification (or obtainable within 30 days)
• ACLS certification (required within 30 days of hire)
• NIHSS Stroke Certification (required within 30 days of hire)
• Strong clinical knowledge of cardiac and neurological care
• Excellence in leadership and communication skills
