International Trade Litigation Attorney | Antidumping & Countervailing Duty Law | Washington, DC

Key Responsibilities
- Handle all phases of antidumping (AD) and countervailing duty (CVD) proceedings before the U.S. Department of Commerce and the U.S. International Trade Commission (USITC)
- Manage judicial appeals of agency determinations in trade remedy cases before the Court of International Trade and Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit
- Support the firm's Trade Policy practice in matters before the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) and other federal agencies
- Provide direct counsel to clients on complex international trade compliance and litigation matters
- Draft persuasive legal briefs, memoranda, and pleadings for administrative and judicial proceedings
- Conduct legal research and analysis on international trade law, customs regulations, and trade policy issues
- Collaborate with economists and accountants on quantitative analysis for trade remedy investigations
- Travel internationally to meet with clients and support trade litigation matters as needed
- Maintain current knowledge of developments in U.S. trade law, World Trade Organization (WTO) rules, and international trade policy
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a top-tier accredited law school with strong academic credentials
- Active membership in good standing with the District of Columbia Bar (DC Bar required; New York Bar preferred)
- 3-5 years of substantive experience in international trade litigation, specifically handling antidumping and countervailing duty cases
- Demonstrated experience with proceedings before the U.S. Department of Commerce International Trade Administration and the U.S. International Trade Commission
- Proven track record of exceptional legal writing and persuasive advocacy skills
- Strong understanding of trade remedy law, customs law, and the regulatory framework governing international trade
- Ability to manage multiple complex matters simultaneously and perform effectively under tight deadlines
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally to support client needs
- Direct client contact and relationship management experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience at an AmLaw 200 law firm, particularly in international trade practice
- Quantitative and analytical capabilities with proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis
- Background in accounting, economics, or finance that supports understanding of dumping margin calculations and injury analysis
- Experience with Section 301 investigations, safeguard actions, or other trade policy matters before USTR
- Familiarity with customs and import/export compliance issues
