Essential Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive respiratory care and treatment to patients of all ages in various clinical settings
• Develop and implement personalized patient care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Perform advanced respiratory assessments and modify treatment protocols as needed
• Manage complex respiratory equipment and ensure compliance with safety protocols
• Mentor junior staff and students while serving as a clinical practice role model
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental planning
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Associates degree in Respiratory Therapy from a CoARC-approved program (Bachelor's preferred)
• Current Virginia State Board of Medicine Respiratory Care Practitioner license
• Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
• BLS certification required within three months of employment
• ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications may be required within first year
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in respiratory care
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• AARC membership preferred
