Position Overview

As a Senior Athletic Trainer, you'll play a crucial role in managing the health care of athletes across various educational and professional sports settings. This position offers diverse experiences through partnerships with local school districts, colleges, and sports organizations.

Core Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive athletic training services including injury prevention, assessment, and rehabilitation • Develop and implement treatment programs and conditioning protocols • Coordinate with physicians and healthcare providers for athlete care • Manage emergency medical situations and provide first aid care • Maintain detailed medical records and injury documentation • Participate in community outreach and educational programs • Cover assigned practices, games, and sports events • Collaborate with coaches, parents, and medical professionals

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or related field • Current NYS Athletic Trainer Certification • Board of Certification (BOC) for Athletic Trainers • CPR/AED Certification (required within 90 days) • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
