Clinical Nurse Manager - Labor & Delivery Unit
We're seeking an experienced and dynamic Clinical Nurse Manager to lead our Labor & Delivery unit at our state-of-the-art healthcare facility. Position Overview
As the L&D Nurse Manager, you'll oversee daily operations, staff development, and quality initiatives while ensuring the highest standards of patient-centered care. This role combines clinical expertise with leadership skills to create an environment of excellence in maternal care.
Essential Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of healthcare professionals in delivering exceptional maternal and newborn care
- Drive clinical excellence through evidence-based practice implementation and quality improvement initiatives
- Manage unit operations, including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies
- Optimize patient flow and throughput while maintaining high-quality care standards
- Foster interdepartmental collaboration and communication
- Monitor and improve patient satisfaction metrics
- Develop and implement staff education and professional development programs
- Oversee budget management and resource utilization
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- Current RN license in state of practice or active compact license
- 3-5+ years of L&D nursing experience
- 2+ years of supervisory experience in an acute care setting
- BLS certification
- Strong leadership and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration
- RNC-OB certification
- NRP and FHM certifications
- ACLS certification
