Position Overview

As the Cardiac Stepdown Nurse Manager, you will provide 24/7 operational leadership while fostering a culture of clinical excellence and patient-centered care. This role offers the perfect blend of clinical expertise and leadership advancement in a Magnet-aspiring environment.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of nursing professionals in delivering evidence-based cardiac care
• Drive clinical outcomes through the implementation of the Synergy Model and Evidence-Based Practices
• Oversee unit operations, including staffing, budgeting, and performance improvement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with TJC Patient Safety Goals and infection prevention protocols
• Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance patient care delivery and safety
• Monitor and optimize key performance indicators across patient, employee, and physician satisfaction
• Lead quality improvement projects and foster a culture of continuous learning

Qualifications

• BSN required; MSN or related Master's degree preferred
• Current Texas State RN license or compact license
• Minimum 2 years of recent Critical Care leadership experience
• Progressive leadership experience highly valued
• National Specialty Certification required (or obtainable within first year)
• Current BLS/ACLS certification
• Experience in Magnet or Pathways facilities preferred
