Position Overview

As the Critical Care Nurse Manager, you will provide 24/7 operational leadership for our ICU department, ensuring exceptional patient care while fostering a culture of clinical excellence and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a high-performing team of critical care nurses and support staff
• Drive clinical excellence through evidence-based practice implementation
• Oversee unit operations, including staffing, scheduling, and budget management
• Champion quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs
• Facilitate professional development and continuing education opportunities
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards
• Monitor and improve key performance indicators for patient satisfaction and clinical outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Current Texas RN license or compact license
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required; MSN preferred
• Minimum 2 years recent critical care leadership experience
• BLS and ACLS certification
• National Specialty Certification or commitment to obtain within first year
• Strong clinical and operational leadership capabilities
• Experience with performance improvement methodologies

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in Magnet® or Pathway to Excellence® facilities
• Master's degree in Nursing or related field
• Progressive leadership experience in critical care settings
