Pay: $35.96–$50.08/hour | Full-Time, Days | Preferred 8:00 AM–4:30 PM | Rotating Weekend Coverage
The Opportunity
A respected skilled nursing and rehabilitation provider in the Watkins Glen / Montour Falls area is looking for a full-time Speech Language Pathologist to join its care team. You'll evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive, communication, and swallowing disorders in a collaborative, patient-centered environment. Your Day-to-Day
- Conduct speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals
- Deliver skilled therapy based on physician referrals and evolving patient needs
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment approaches to drive meaningful outcomes
- Document evaluations, treatments, and results accurately and on time
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment plans and safety strategies
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and the broader rehabilitation team
- Supervise rehab aides in accordance with New York State guidelines
- Maintain current clinical knowledge through ongoing continuing education
What We're Looking For
- Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology
- New York State SLP license or eligibility for licensure
- Clinical Fellows (CFY/SLP-CF) welcome to apply
- CCC-SLP preferred for experienced candidates
- Background in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, or post-acute settings preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
- Ability to assist with patient mobility and lift up to 50 pounds
