An exciting opportunity has come up for a leading retail client as a Facilities Supervisor in central London.

Role remit:

Assist Facilities Manager and FM Strategy Lead in delivering proactive and solution-focused approach for FM services to our stores.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with vendors and suppliers to arrange sites visits and obtain quotes.
  • Assist Facilities Manager and FM Strategy Lead in producing and collating reports for Management.
  • Assist Facilities Manager and FM Strategy Lead in the effective management of the H&S and Security projects.
  • Assist Facilities Manager and FM Strategy Lead in developing operational efficiencies within the FM function.
  • Responsible for the management of FM team and Maintenance team in the absence of Facilities Manager and FM Strategy Lead.
  • Communicate with staff and suppliers to address the queries/requests efficiently.
  • Advise and guide the Maintenance and Facilities team on the raising and closing of reactive, PPM and scheduled job requests within the FM Helpdesk department.
  • Assist the Facilities team in raising purchase orders and the subsequent processing of the associated invoices at Head Office.
  • Ensure supplier details for Facilities and Health and Safety are maintained effectively, including filing of all associated service provider and compliance documentation.
  • Ensure Maintenance team and service providers follow Company Health & Safety standards and adhere to legislation, minimising risks to staff, contractors and our properties.
  • Responding appropriately to emergencies, or urgent issues, as they arise.
  • Any other ad hoc tasks assigned by the Facilities Manager and FM Strategy Lead, including assisting with delivery of departmental projects.

Skills and Experience:

  • At least 3 years of strong and proven facilities management experience within a fast paced, multi-site environment at supervisory level.
  • Similar work experience within a property or retail sector would be advantageous.
  • Experience preferred with using/managing digital CAFM or helpdesk system.
  • Relevant qualification/certification in Facilities Management or related field is desirable.
  • Build strong internal and external relationships using effective verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be proficient in MS Office skills including Excel.
  • Well organized and self- driven individual with demonstrated ability to prioritize and effectively complete multiple tasks.
  • A great team player and be comfortable working in a team environment.
  • Proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Have the ability to work under pressure with a high level of organisational proficiency and initiative.
  • Good attention to detail and ability to follow department procedures.
  • Good numeracy skills, ability to process invoices accurately and efficiently.

Package:

Up to £40,000 + Package + Benefits
