About Us: Our Innovation Tax Relief team collaborates with dynamic companies to facilitate claims for R&D tax relief, Patent Box tax relief, and Creative Industries Tax Relief. As a result of the continuous expansion of our Innovation Tax Relief service line, we are seeking experienced Tax Managers and Assistant Managers to join our offices in Birmingham, Nottingham, or Manchester.

Role Overview: We engage with companies of varying sizes, ranging from startups to SMEs and large enterprises, across diverse industry sectors. Our expertise encompasses claims made under the R&D SME scheme as well as RDEC, offering comprehensive coverage. Our commitment to fostering innovation is further exemplified by the recent launch of a grant funding service aimed at bolstering our support for businesses engaged in R&D activities. We are actively seeking individuals who share our passion for innovation and possess a genuine desire to collaborate with and support like-minded businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and deliver R&D and/or Patent Box tax relief claims, showcasing technical proficiency.
  • Exhibit strong project management skills to efficiently oversee tax relief processes.
  • Demonstrate an interest in the professional development of junior staff members.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of tax relief projects.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum of five years experience for Managers or four years experience for Assistant Managers in an R&D tax or Patent Box role, either in practice, industry, or a combination of both.
  • Hold relevant professional qualifications such as CTA and/or ACA.
  • Proven track record of technical competence in the preparation and delivery of R&D and/or Patent Box tax relief claims.
  • Strong project management skills to efficiently oversee tax relief projects.
  • A genuine interest in nurturing the growth and development of junior team members.
