Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced R&D Tax Technical Consultant to join our team. As an R&D Tax Technical Consultant, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and support to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the UK regarding their R&D Tax credit claims. Your primary focus will be on assisting clients in maximizing their eligible R&D Tax credits and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough technical assessments of client projects to identify eligible R&D activities and expenditures.
Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to gather necessary information and supporting documentation for R&D Tax credit claims.
Prepare and review technical reports and documentation to support R&D Tax credit claims, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and optimization of benefits.
Stay up-to-date with changes in R&D Tax legislation and guidelines, and provide guidance to clients accordingly.
Advise clients on strategies to enhance their R&D activities and improve future eligibility for R&D Tax credits.
Assist in liaising with tax authorities and defending R&D Tax credit claims during audits or inquiries.
Maintain strong relationships with clients, offering ongoing support and guidance regarding R&D Tax credit matters.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Science, Accounting, Finance).
Extensive knowledge and experience in R&D Tax credits, specifically within the SME sector in the UK.
Strong understanding of R&D project methodologies, technical documentation, and financial aspects related to R&D Tax credits.
Familiarity with relevant tax legislation, guidelines, and compliance requirements in the UK.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex technical projects and identify eligible R&D activities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders.
Attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate and high-quality technical reports and documentation.
Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple client projects simultaneously.
Professional certifications or memberships related to R&D Tax credits (e.g., ATT, CTA, R&D Tax Specialist) are desirable but not essential.
