We are looking for an International Payroll Specialist to join our growing team and help ensure timely, compliant, and precise payroll processing for our international clients and internal operations.
Position Overview
The International Payroll Specialist will be responsible for the processing and review of payrolls across several jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and tax regulations. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate effectively with HR, Finance, and external partners in multiple time zones.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and process international payroll cycles across multiple countries, ensuring compliance with local regulations and internal policies.
- Collaborate with local payroll providers, finance, and HR teams to ensure accurate data collection, including new hires, terminations, bonuses, and benefits.
- Review and validate payroll calculations, statutory deductions, and contributions.
- Reconcile payroll reports and ensure accurate posting to the general ledger.
- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of payroll data, ensuring compliance with data protection laws.
- Support audits, internal controls, and compliance reviews related to payroll processes.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in international tax, labor, and social security regulations.
- Support process improvement initiatives and contribute to payroll automation and system optimization.
- Coordinate payments and funding with Treasury, ensuring timely disbursements across currencies and countries.
- Serve as a point of contact for payroll-related inquiries from employees and clients.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1 - 3 years of experience in multi-country payroll processing, preferably within Latin America, the U.S., or EMEA regions.
- Strong understanding of international payroll compliance, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Experience working with global payroll platforms
- Advanced proficiency in Excel.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish.
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with regional payroll across Latin America, particularly in Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Brazil, among others.
- Familiarity with cross-border compliance and expatriate payroll management.
