GPC Philippines Corporation is currently seeking an Senior Bookkeeper. This position will work from 12:00 am to 9:00 AM PHT and applies only to Philippine-based legal residents and citizens.
Work time will shift to better hours over time.
Job Description
The Senior Bookkeeper is responsible for managing financial transactions, full-charge bookkeeping, and multi-entity reporting while ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP. This role involves processing invoices, reconciling accounts, reviewing balance sheets, identifying and resolving discrepancies, and assisting with monthly and quarterly financial reporting. The ideal candidate will be proficient in QuickBooks, with the ability to set up accounts from scratch, diagnose accounting issues, and perform forensic bookkeeping. Additional responsibilities include supporting AP/AR, tracking cash flow, reviewing financial statements, and assisting with audit and compliance. This position requires 5+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting, a bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance, and strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Candidates must have a dedicated workspace at home and be comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, acquisition-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping, including AR, AP, payroll reconciliations, and journal entries.
- Set up QuickBooks Online from scratch based on business requirements.
- Diagnose and resolve accounting discrepancies and forensic bookkeeping issues.
- Reconcile bank, credit card, and loan accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements, including Profit & Loss and Balance Sheets.
- Analyze cash flow trends, financial performance, and budget variances.
- Assist with audit preparation, financial reporting, and compliance with U.S. GAAP.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to standardize accounting processes.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and organization in financial data.
- Support process documentation and continuous improvements in accounting systems.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and accounting principles.
- Ability to set up, diagnose, and resolve QuickBooks-related issues.
- Experience in multi-entity financial reporting and reconciliations.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
- Ability to work independently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
