Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated General Practitioner to join a collegial team in Katoomba, NSW.

As a General Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to patients of all ages. You will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to diagnose and treat various medical conditions, as well as provide preventive care and health education to patients. Your role will also involve managing chronic diseases, conducting health screenings, and referring patients to specialists when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct thorough medical assessments and examinations of patients

- Diagnose and treat various medical conditions, including acute and chronic illnesses

- Prescribe medications and treatments as appropriate

- Provide preventive care and health education to patients

- Manage and monitor chronic diseases, such as diabetes and hypertension

- Conduct health screenings and offer appropriate interventions

- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for patients

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patients

- Refer patients to specialists when necessary

- Participate in continuous education and training to stay updated on medical advancements and best practices

- Adhere to all medical laws, regulations, and ethical standards

Qualifications and Skills:

- Medical degree from an AMC accredited institution

- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or the ability to gain this

- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a General Practitioner

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Strong diagnostic and decision-making abilities

- Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with other healthcare professionals

- Commitment to providing high-quality and patient-centered care

- Knowledge of medical laws, regulations, and ethical standards

- Willingness to participate in continuous education and training
