SUPRVISOR, MAINTENANCE
Job Description:
KSM MANAGEMENT CONSULTANT, the largest HR firm in Zambia recently acquired GOZAMBIAJOBS.CO.ZM, becoming the largest recruitment platform in the country is now actively looking to recruit SUPRVISOR, MAINTENANCE on behalf of our client.
DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?
The role exists to carry out day to day activities to manage operations within designated areas of responsibility. The role also exists to assist the Shift Supervisor in executing his duties.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Demonstrate and maintain safety according to mine regulations and set standards
- Ensure good operation practices.
- Ensure that all operators and personnel entering the work area are adequately inducted on site safety procedures/systems and that these are complied with
- Ensure compliance of safe mining practices.
- Report all substandard/unsafe conditions to supervisors.
- Ensure communication is effective and accurately conveyed.
- Ensure PPE Compliance among subordinates.
- Ensure checklist compliance and handovers are done.
- Coordinate Fatigue breaks.
- Participate in safety investigations in conjunction with the safety department and implement corrective and preventative controls.
- Reporting of accidents, incidents & hazards to the shift supervisor and put preventative measure in place.
- Ensure full utilization of equipment in designated area.
- Ensure that all equipment is kept in good working condition at all times.
- Recovery of bogged trucks as per procedure.
- Follow set reporting structures and standards
- Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE
- Engineering Background: Understanding civil engineering principles, materials science, and construction methodologies specific to road maintenance and TSF construction.
- Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of local and national regulations governing road construction and TSF maintenance, including safety and environmental standards.
- Geotechnical Understanding: Familiarity with soil mechanics, geotechnical engineering, and related principles for proper TSF design and maintenance.
- Materials and Equipment: Understanding the materials used in road construction, familiarity with various construction equipment, and their optimal usage.
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
- Full Grade 12 school certificate
- Minimum Diploma in Mining Engineering or relevant field.
- Valid Drivers license.
- At least 5 years work experience in a mining environment
- Have solid knowledge of road/ramp construction.
- Previous experience on tailings facilities will be an advantage.

SALARY RANGE: K22,093.00 - K31,401.57
