JOB OPPORTUNITY: DRIVER MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with verifying driver qualifications and licenses for both trucks and relevant trailer combinations.
• Allocate drivers to trucks based on their driving skills through testing and evaluation.
• Monitor and document driving behavior using E Track reports, taking appropriate actions as needed.
• Ensure continuous driver compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and company/road regulations.
• Verify all relevant documentation for drivers, trucks, and trailers before dispatch.
• Keep various departments updated on driver changes through Sales Force, email, and Mover.
• Maintain close relations with HR and senior management to resolve driver behavior issues.
• Monitor load safety and security compliance before dispatch, including compliance with Hazchem requirements.
• Liaise with HR regarding driver-related subsistence.
• Enforce driver compliance with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at loading points.
• Communicate with the workshop regarding vehicle damages and breakdowns attributed to driver behavior.
• Manage subordinates on performance and work ethic.
• Verify horse-trailer combinations and relevant documentation for Controllers through Mover and Sales Force.

Education & Experience

• Bachelors Degree in Logistics/Finance/Economics/Business Management
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role
• Good knowledge and experience of transport management software solutions.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance.
• Dangerous Goods Certification.
• Zambian Citizen.

SALARY RANGE: K3,500 - K4,000 Gross Pay
