Youth Counsellor Position Summary:

Interact with and supervise all children participating in Youth Activities programs, ages 3-17 years.

Assist in the set-up for all facilitated activities and execute clean-up duties upon completion of program; monitor audio and lighting needs as needed.

Assist with the cleaning and sanitizing of spaces and objects, before, during, and after the facilities open; keep all spaces tidy during operating hours.

Provide registration/check-in/check-out services for Guests in childrens spaces; operate multiple computer programs.

Prepare food trays for children during meal or snack times

Key requirements:

Minimum age for all applicants is 20 years.

Must have clear criminal record.

Must not be on any chronic medication and have clear medical history.

Minimum 18 months' experience working with children in a high-volume, fast-paced environment in recreation, resort, day care, classroom, or before/ after school care setting,

OR 3+ seasons (3 months each) of overnight and/or day camp experience.

Passion for engaging children in entertaining programs and activities.

Schooling in recreation, education, or related field of study focusing on youth preferred.

Strong English oral and written communication; candidates must score 80% or higher on Marlins.

Bilingual or multilingual abilities a plus.

Experience working with special needs children a plus.

Ability to be proactive and be able to spontaneously entertain high volumes of children with high energy in the absence of planned activities; relates well to audiences of all ages and sizes.

Strong teamwork skills, organizational skills and detail oriented.

Must be adaptable and flexible in an ever-changing environment.

NURSERY COUNSELLOR Position Summary:

Key requirements:

Minimum age for all applicants is 21 years.

Minimum 24 months experience working with children in a high-volume, fast-paced environment in recreation, resort, day care, classroom, or before/ after school care setting,

  • Minimum two years recent work experience working with children in a public or private daycare or in a recreational or camp setting
  • Experience working with a minimum of 3-5 children at one time required; higher volume experience a plus
  • Experience working with infants and/or toddlers required
  • Schooling in recreation ,education, or related field of study preferred
  • High energy, spirited self-motivated individual with ability to entertain infants and/or toddlers with free-play activities
  • Strong oral and written communication and organizational skills; detail-oriented; customer-service oriented
  • Relates well to audiences of all ages and sizes. Strong teamwork skills, detailed, flexible and committed to guest satisfaction
  • Passion for engaging young children
  • Must be able to multi-task and demonstrate a sense of urgency when
  • serving guests
  • Must be adaptable and flexible in an ever-changing environment
