About the job Assistant Business Manager
Job Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, particularly in the renewable energy, solar PV, Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), infrastructure and related sectors.
- Conduct market research on potential projects, customers, strategic partners and industry developments across Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, China and other international markets
- Coordinate the development and follow-up of renewable energy and infrastructure projects from the initial discussion stage through proposal, tender, negotiation and implementation preparation.
- Monitor project progress, deadlines, outstanding matters and required actions.
- Maintain project trackers and regularly update management on project status, risks and next steps.
- Review tender, Expression of Interest (EOI), Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Proposal (RFP) requirements.
- Coordinate the collection, preparation and submission of corporate, legal, financial, technical and project-experience documents.
- Prepare and review tender clarification questions, responses, application forms and supporting documents.
- Monitor submission deadlines and ensure that tender documents comply with the relevant requirements.
- Liaise with government agencies, utility companies, project owners, local partners, EPC contractors, suppliers, consultants and potential investors.
- Assist in reviewing project commercial structures, investment arrangements, EPC financing proposals, equipment supply arrangements and revenue models.
- Liaise with the Finance Department regarding project payments, reimbursements, financing documents and other financial arrangements.
- Prepare project summaries, meeting minutes, management reports, business proposals and presentation materials.
- Provide regular updates to the Business Development Manager, Directors and senior management.
- Prepare, review and coordinate business correspondence, official letters, emails, presentations and project documents.
- Coordinate with local consultants, government agencies and service providers regarding regulatory and compliance matters.
- Liaise with suppliers and logistics service providers regarding equipment specifications, quotations, import requirements, shipment arrangements and delivery schedules.
- Arrange meetings, site visits, business trips and stakeholder appointments for management and project teams.
- Assist the Business Development Manager and Directors with ad hoc assignments related to business development, project execution and corporate matters.
