Structural Engineer

Role Overview

Responsible for structural design coordination, shop drawing review, and temporary works design for MRT construction projects, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Review design packages and prepare/approve shop drawings for RC structural works and temporary works (e.g. strut, waler)
• Coordinate structural design with consultants, accredited checkers, architects, and construction teams
• Liaise with authorities when required
• Design temporary works (scaffolding, formwork, falsework, etc.)
• Support project team in resolving design-related issues
• Manage and address production, quality, design, and scheduling issues
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in civil & structural engineering
• Mandatory experience in infrastructure projects (LTA preferred)
• Experience in underground / roadway projects is an advantage
• Strong experience in design coordination with consultants
• Proficient in STAAD, AutoCAD / MicroStation
• Good understanding of local authority requirements
