About the job WSHO - Pharma Operations (6 months contract) | MNC | Tuas

Summary: To drive EHS compliance and safety excellence within a routine manufacturing operations environment. This role will focus on maintaining workplace safety standards, regulatory compliance, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives across site operations.

Jobscope:

  • Review and maintain workplace risk assessments to ensure hazards are identified and appropriate mitigation measures are implemented and closed out.
  • Conduct routine workplace inspections and self-inspections to ensure compliance with EHS requirements and internal standards.
  • Support and facilitate internal and external EHS audits, including follow-up actions and corrective action tracking.
  • Coordinate and facilitate EHS committee meetings and drive safety initiatives across departments.
  • Perform gap analysis against internal EHS standards and local regulatory requirements, ensuring timely implementation of updates and improvements.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and support implementation of revised workplace safety requirements.
  • Work closely with stakeholders across operations, engineering, and support teams to promote a strong safety culture.
  • Support incident investigations and ensure corrective and preventive actions are effectively implemented.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen EHS compliance and operational safety performance.

Requirements:

  • Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) certification in Singapore is required.
  • Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, or related discipline.
  • Experience within pharmaceutical manufacturing, life sciences, biotech, or GMP-regulated environments is highly preferred.
  • Hands-on experience supporting routine operations/manufacturing environments rather than solely project-based or construction activities.
  • Experience in conducting risk assessments, audits, inspections, and EHS compliance activities.
  • Familiar with Singapore WSH regulations and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience performing EHS gap assessments and implementing corrective actions is advantageous.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to work across cross-functional teams
