RESPONSIBILITIES

Inventory & Material Control

  • Perform monthly/quarterly stock takes and weekly throughput; reconcile variances and implement corrective
  • actions.
  • Track material movements (issue, return, scrap, WIP transfers) in the WMS/SAP system accurately and promptly.
  • Maintain minimum/maximum levels, safety stock, and reorder triggers; flag shortages and slow/non-moving items.
  • Coordinate with warehouse/logistics on receiving, kitting, staging, and material traceability (batch/lot control).
  • Conduct root-cause analysis for inventory discrepancies; implement 5S and visual management at cleanroom and
  • line-side areas.

Cost Control & Cost-Down (Including Safety-Related)

  • Monitor material yield, usage variance, and scrap; support yield improvement and waste-reduction projects.
  • Identify and implement low-cost improvements (layout, handling, packaging standardization, reusables, right-sizing).
  • Track standard vs. actual material consumption; propose BOM accuracy updates with Engineering.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly cost reports (usage variance, scrap trends, consumables spend).

Production Support

  • Assist the Engineer with line changeovers, materials readiness, and first-article/trial run material control.
  • Maintain work instructions (WI), SOPs, and checklists related to inventory/material processes.
  • Liaise with Quality on NCR material handling, quarantine, and MRB disposition.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma/Certificate in Manufacturing, Industrial/Mechanical Engineering, Operations, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing operations, inventory/material control, or production support.
  • Experience with basic software knowledge (Microsoft office, PowerPoint, excel, etc) preferred.
  • Understanding of BOMs, routings, lot tracking, FIFO/FEFO, and cycle-count methodologies.
  • Cleanroom and warehouse environments with controlled contamination requirements.
  • Strict adherence to cleanroom gowning, PPE, and safety rules required.
