About the job System Developer (Manufacturing / MES)
Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and deploy in-house systems to support business operations and meet customer requirements.
- Participate in system design aligned with shopfloor and business processes.
- Drive continuous improvement in system performance, quality, and responsiveness, particularly for manufacturing systems (MES, warehouse, supply chain, shopfloor control).
- Follow coding standards and best practices, while mentoring junior team members to strengthen the DevOps team.
- Collaborate with Solutioning and SA teams to develop new functionalities, conduct unit testing, troubleshoot issues, and fix bugs.
- Assess project feasibility, provide realistic estimates, and update the IT project team on timelines.
- Maintain source code, IT manifest repository, and adhere to SDLC processes.
- Perform system analysis and propose practical solutions.
- Provide backup support for various systems and extract production-related data when needed.
Requirements:
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent
- 2 to 3 years of system development/programming experience, preferably with Java, database scripting, MES systems, and PL/SQL.
- 3 to 5 years experience designing or developing mid-to-large manufacturing applications or participating in MES setup/migration projects.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Enthusiastic about software development, able to work under pressure.
- Able to perform duties safely in shopfloor environments, following all protective gear and safety protocols.
- Willing to work overtime during urgent situations, including nights or weekends (e.g., line-down incidents).
