About the job Senior Executive, Inpatient Ops
- Ward Operations: Manage the daily running of the ward(s), including front desk services, handling administrative tasks, and working with the Nurse Manager and others to fix system and process problems.
- Process Improvement: Examine and enhance key processes to boost customer experience, make operations more efficient, and ensure the best use of resources.
- Customer Satisfaction: Monitor customer feedback, track ratings, and suggest ways to achieve excellent patient satisfaction.
- Infrastructure Projects: Collaborate with Nursing and other departments on ward maintenance or building projects. This involves careful planning (including managing bed closures), making sure user needs are met, ensuring compliance (like infection control), and guaranteeing projects are finished on time and within budget.
- Budgeting and Planning: Monitor and advise on the hospital's yearly planning needs, including budgets for finances, staff, and training.
- Problem Solving: Work with various departments on special projects or committees to resolve internal conflicts and propose/implement solutions to achieve positive results.
- Quality & Tech Initiatives: Actively take part in quality improvement and IT projects to make care safer, better, faster, and cheaper for patients.
- Customer Service: Address and manage customer complaints, providing service recovery when necessary.
- Documentation: Review and update ward policies and procedures
- Committee Support: Provide support to relevant hospital committees in your assigned areas (e.g., Critical Care Committee).
- Ad-hoc Tasks: Complete any other tasks assigned by your supervisor.
Requirements
- Degree in management or healthcare relevant field
- 3-5 years of working experience in Operation functions
- Experience in healthcare environment
