About the job Senior Officer, Finance Department

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit LC (Letter of Credit) and collection bills to banks for negotiation or presentation.
  • Monitor the status of negotiated/presented LC and collection bills, including acceptance, discrepancies, payments, and any disputes.
  • Communicate with banks to obtain rates for LC confirmations and discounting.
  • Conduct month-end bank reconciliations, incorporating loans and notes receivable as necessary.
  • Input accounting data entries into the in-house SAP system.
  • Process daily outgoing payments in both the accounting system and the bank's cash management system.
  • Address inquiries from banks and trading departments.
  • Manage the processing and settlement of import bills.
  • Handle daily incoming mail.
  • Provide support to the finance team with ad-hoc tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting functions
  • More than 2-3 years of working experience in Accounting functions
  • Experience in processing Letter of Credit will be an added advantage.
