About the job Technical Business Analyst (Banking)

Responsible for analyzing and enhancing business operations and systems within the banking sector, with specific focus areas including FX, Money Market (MM), Derivatives, Bonds, GIRO, and FAST. The scope spans across core banking, front-office, back-office, information systems, and regulatory reporting, providing comprehensive coverage of the banks operational ecosystem.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Capture and validate business requirements with precision and clarity.
  • Assess technical feasibility and design solutions from both business and systems perspectives.
  • Contribute across the entire project lifecycle including requirements gathering, design, construction, testing, user acceptance, training, documentation, and implementation, in alignment with project methodologies and standards.
  • Work closely with project leads, sponsors, and regional stakeholders to align initiatives with organizational strategy and objectives.
  • Coordinate the creation of detailed documentation and diagrams to clearly communicate requirements and system changes.
  • Communicate project status, key decisions, risks, and progress to stakeholders, including senior management.
  • Manage communication, timelines, risks, and deliverables within assigned responsibilities.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, transparency, and accountability, ensuring strong cross-functional alignment and effective teamwork.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Over 5 years of proven experience as a Business Analyst, with strong capabilities in requirements gathering, business analysis, and documentation; and over 5 years as a System Analyst, skilled in system design, technical specification, and feasibility assessment.
  • Proficient in developing business process flow diagrams and system configuration diagrams to clearly articulate business logic and system architecture.
  • Possesses strong domain knowledge and practical experience in at least one of the following banking areas: Foreign Exchange (FX), Money Market (MM), Derivatives (Interest Rate Swap / Cross Currency Swap), Bonds, FAST/GIRO Payments, or Cross-Border (XB) / MEPS Payment Systems.
