About the job Senior Business Analyst / Project Manager (Contract, Bank)
Responsibilities:
Project Management
- Oversee a portfolio of medium-sized projects, ranging between 200 to 1000 man-days.
- Manage project execution using a hybrid approach that combines both waterfall and agile methodologies.
- Lead and coordinate meetings to track project progress and activities with stakeholders and counterparts.
- Develop and deliver project KPIs and regular progress reports to both management and business counterparts.
Business Needs Analysis
- Collaborate with users and Product Owners to understand and assess business needs, ensuring clarity and proper communication to the development team.
Functional Requirements
- Critically evaluate business requirements and convert them into detailed functional and non-functional specifications, ensuring alignment and consistency.
Functional Design
- Work closely with the development team to design functional solutions that meet business objectives while adhering to technical constraints.
- Assist in the creation and refinement of user stories or equivalent documentation.
Testing and Quality Assurance
- Define testing strategies, prepare functional and integration test scenarios, and generate relevant test data.
- Perform functional and integration testing to verify compliance with business requirements; support E2E and UAT testing phases.
Level 3 Support
- Provide Level 3 support by analyzing and resolving complex issues escalated from Level 1 and 2 support.
- Collaborate with global support and technical teams to identify root causes, define acceptance criteria, and validate fixes.
Documentation
- Ensure comprehensive and up-to-date functional documentation for all applications in scope.
Qualifications
- Over 10 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst.
- At least 2 years of experience in Project Management, preferably within a hybrid (Agile/Waterfall) framework.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience with credit approval or loan origination systems, with solid knowledge of credit workflows, annual reviews, loan syndication, authorization processes, and credit risk concepts (PD & LGD).
- Familiarity with back-testing applications and historical data collection for validating LGD and CF models is a strong plus.
- 10+ years of experience translating business requirements into functional specifications or user stories.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in test case design, execution, and monitoring.
- 2+ years of experience managing projects using hybrid methodologies.
- Proficient in Microsoft Project (MSP) for project planning and tracking.
- Solid working knowledge of SQL for data analysis and validation.
- Skilled in using Jira, SharePoint, and Confluence for project collaboration and documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Demonstrated ability to manage diverse stakeholders effectively.
- Results-driven, proactive, and highly committed to project ownership.
- Thorough understanding of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Comfortable collaborating with technical teams and bridging functional/technical discussions.
- Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset and willingness to share knowledge.
- Passionate about continuous improvement and innovation.
- Practical experience in API testing and validation processes.
