About the job Senior Technical Manager (Payment, Permanent)
- Responsible for managing the end-to-end software development process, including analysis, design, development, implementation, testing, and support for respective applications.
- As Technical Manager, oversee the quality assurance of team deliveries in alignment with the defined software development life cycle (SDLC) methodology, tools, and deliverables, while planning technical deliverables, including system enhancements and upgrades, to meet project requirements within the allocated budget and schedule.
- Plan and collaborate across application teams and surrounding platforms to manage technical dependencies, while preparing and managing the technical implementation plan through coordinated activities to ensure smooth production cutover and adequate post-implementation support.

Partner with System Analysts, Business Analysts, and SMEs to gather, understand, and finalize functional and technical requirements, collaborate with the development manager to manage application teams in building enhancements, and work with the test manager to ensure completion of System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), performance testing, and security testing with quality results.

Plan, monitor, and manage risks and issues related to technical delivery, provide status updates to the Project Manager (PM), and contribute system input to the specification phase, including effort estimates and a high-level delivery plan based on impact assessments.
- Escalate issues impacting project schedules in a timely manner, propose workarounds/solutions, and provide timely updates and reports to senior management.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in IT Project Management within the financial industry, specifically in the payments domain.
- Leadership experience in managing IT delivery teams and implementing large scale project.
- Experience in system development work with prior experience in functional, technical specifications and system development.
- Proficiency in JIRA, MS Project, Excel, Visio.
- Good understanding and experience in software development cycle (Waterfall or Agile best practices).
- Highly effective communicating with technical stakeholders, proficient communicating with non technical stakeholders.
- Good problem solving, analytical, synthesis, system thinking and solutioning skills.
- Strong negotiation skills and vendor project management skills.
- Experience in vendor product management will be an added advantage.
