About the job Systems Analyst (Pathology)
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead pathology informatics initiatives, including predictive modelling and data structure optimisation.
- Review LIS functions, provide recommendations, and support decision-making.
- Monitor and support LIS applications.
- Manage Project Change Requests (PCRs) and Operational Service Requests (OSRs), including review, deconflict, and testing.
- Support laboratory accreditation compliance within the LIS.
- Assist with system administration and departmental compliance tasks.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the LIS Supervisor.
Requirements:
- Degree in Biomedical Science or related discipline with at least 4 years of relevant experience, or diploma with over 5years of relevant experience.
- Degree in IT with at least 2 years of relevant experience, or diploma in IT with at least 4 years of relevant experience.
- Critical Skills:
- Knowledge of LIS applications and troubleshooting (experience with EPIC Beaker preferred but not mandatory).
- Understanding of laboratory operations and workflow.
- Strong data analysis and informatics skills for predictive modelling and process optimisation.
- Project/change management experience (PCRs, OSRs).
- Accuracy and attention to detail in system management and reporting.
- Programming or scripting skills (Access, Visual Basic, Python, etc.) for data manipulation and reporting.
- Supporting Skills:
- Proficiency in office software (MS Office, email), PC setup, and troubleshooting.
- Strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant clinical laboratory experience preferred.
