About the job Technical Manager (Civil Construction)
Responsibilities
- Oversee technical aspects of infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with design and engineering standards. Obtaining necessary permits and approvals from relevant authorities
- Participate in meetings, perform site inspections to monitor work progress, and identify design errors and drawing inconsistencies
- Provide technical support and solutions to site teams and resolve design-related issues
- Coordinating interfacing design and construction works with consultants (in-house & Client's), subcontractors, and clients to ensure project requirements are met
- Liaising with the Employer's Consultants and QSS teams to resolve technical issues
- Coordinating designs with relevant department person-in-charge to ensure consistency across different disciplines such as architectural, structural, electrical, and mechanical
- Oversee the design development process and address any project risks to ensure smooth execution
- Ensure adherence to regulatory and safety standards.
- Conduct technical audits and inspections as required.
- Ad-hoc duties as assigned by superior(s)
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil & Structural Engineering (Certificates must be recognized by PE Board)
- Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience in technical roles within the construction industry
- Demonstrates strong technical competence and excellent time management skills
- Independent, resulted-oriented and self-driven team player
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
