Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute buying strategies based on sales trends, inventory levels, seasonal demand, and market insights.
- Source new suppliers and evaluate existing vendors on quality, pricing, reliability, and compliance.
- Negotiate cost prices, payment terms, MOQs, delivery schedules, and commercial conditions to maximize margin and stock efficiency.
- Manage daily e-commerce operations, including sales performance, order processing, fulfilment coordination, customer service, chat management, returns handling, and platform performance.
- Ensure product listings, pricing, promotions, and content are accurate, consistent, and up to date across all platforms.
- Oversee platform and brand webpages, including banner design, category structures, and promotional mechanics, ensuring timely updates and optimal content placement to boost visibility, engagement, and conversion.
- Monitor customer feedback, reviews, returns, and complaints, implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Manage inventory performance and promotional activities, including bundle creation, discount activation, vouchers, and campaign execution.
- Build strong relationships with e-commerce partners and platforms, analyzing category and brand performance to recommend strategies that achieve business objectives.
- Prepare and analyze regular sales, inventory, and performance reports, providing actionable insights and recommendations to management.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Business, E-Commerce, Marketing, Merchandising, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in buying, merchandising, or e-commerce management within retail or omnichannel environments. Experience in FMCG or related retail sectors is preferred.
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
- Solid understanding of e-commerce operations, online merchandising, and digital performance drivers.
- Analytical and data-driven, with proficiency in Excel and reporting tools.
- Experience with e-commerce platforms, marketplaces, and ERP systems is an advantage.
