About the job IT Security Specialist (Data Security & Endpoint Security)
Responsibilities:
- (1) Team & Operational Leadership
- Act as last-level technical escalation for data security and endpoint incidents
- Own and drive Incident, Problem, and Change Management (ITIL-based)
- Assign and manage technical tasks; mentor and guide team members
- Support recruitment, knowledge sharing, and team capability development
- Drive automation and operational efficiency improvements
- (2) Technical & Security Operations
- Provide hands-on support for endpoint, data security, and EDR technologies
- Manage and approve technical changes to Data Security systems (RUN/BAU accountability)
- Investigate and resolve high-severity incidents, ensuring root-cause analysis and closure
- Lead forensic investigations for data leakage incidents, including evidence collection, analysis, and reporting
- Participate in EOL projects, migrations, upgrades, new builds, DR tests, and global infrastructure events
- Ensure systems comply with security standards, policies, and regulatory requirements
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- CISSP and/or Symantec Certified Specialist (SEPM) certifications are highly recommended
- Over 8 years of IT Security experience, primarily in Endpoint & Data Security. Must-Have: (1) Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP), (2) Endpoint Protection & Antivirus policy design and administration (3) Incident & escalation management
- Strong experience in RUN / Production Operations environments
- Hands-on expertise managing large-scale enterprise endpoint security platforms
- Strong understanding of ITIL processes and operational governance
- Proven ability to work independently in fast-paced, regulated environments
- Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills
- Preferably experience supporting financial services / banking environments
- Strong risk-based decision-making and security policy enforcement experience
