About the job Branch Manager - Hungary

  • Main tasks:
    • Establishing new branch(es) on the Hungarian market for a global logistic company 
    • Ensuring the planning and control of the smooth processing of customer orders
    • Maintaining and expanding customer relationships
    • Compliance with and monitoring of all legal requirements regarding occupational safety as well as working, driving and rest times
    • Optimization of procedures, structures and processes, following the example of the sister companies in DE, CZ and PL
    • Development of administrative and driving personnel Management of assigned employees
    • Control and optimization of the driver personnel and equipment deployed in compliance with customer specifications
    • Continuous collection and evaluation of relevant key figures / KPIs and derivation of measures in the event of deviations
    • Ensuring the achievement of core financial targets (profit, liquidity and return on sales) as well as investments that maintain or increase value creation

  • Qualifications / Personal profile:
    • Professional (and ideally management) experience in the forwarding or logistics industry
    • Relevant completed training with relevant practical experience
    • Experience in dispatching vehicles and personnel
    • Strong entrepreneurial thinking, ideally initial management experience in the transportation industry
    • Motivating, goal-oriented work and management style
    • In-depth understanding of logistics processes, figures and an affinity for technology
    • Good user knowledge of common Office programs and other current IT tools
    • Good knowledge of the legal and administrative framework conditions on site
    • Language skills: German & Hungarian preferred, alternatively Hungarian & English
