About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join a fast-growing tech startup in the logistics sector, developing cutting-edge solutions that make the movement of goods more efficient, transparent, and sustainable.

In this role, you will design, build, and optimize scalable and resilient backend systems that power a modern cloud-based platform. You will play a key part in shaping architecture decisions, ensuring high performance, and fostering a culture of engineering excellence within a passionate and international team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop scalable microservices using Java (Spring Boot) or Golang

  • Build reliable and secure APIs (REST / WebSocket)

  • Manage containerized environments using Kubernetes and Docker

  • Collaborate on system architecture and database design

  • Implement cloud-based infrastructure (GCP, AWS, or Azure) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

  • Ensure system reliability, performance, and security

  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical best practices

Your Profile

  • Proven experience developing backend systems with Java / Spring Boot and/or Golang

  • Strong understanding of microservice architectures, distributed systems, and event-driven designs

  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines

  • Knowledge of cloud environments (GCP, AWS, Azure) and IaC tools (Terraform, Helm)

  • Experience working with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL)

  • A collaborative mindset with a focus on quality, scalability, and clean code

  • Excellent communication skills in English

Nice to Have

  • Experience with APM / monitoring tools (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus)

  • Exposure to Google Cloud Pub/Sub or other message brokers

  • Familiarity with Google Firebase or similar platforms
