Financial Reporting

  • Preparation of information for preparation of yearly financial statements and tax returns for all development and investment entities by external accountants
    • Capitalisation of development costs
    • Amortisation of borrowing costs
    • Cost of goods sold calculations
  • Coordinate financial reporting with external accountants to meet investor reporting deadline including final reviews and sign off by directors
  • Prepare annual investor reports and co-ordinate its distribution
  • Review all changes made by accountants and ensure these make commercial sense for our reporting purposes

Management Reporting

  • Preparation of monthly development management reports
  • Provide information and background on costs incurred on a monthly basis for developments
  • Liaise with development team to ensure budgets and costs have been correctly allocated
  • Report to banks regarding financial covenants as required
  • Prepare and review management accounts for correctness as well as identifying areas of risk that require attention

Treasury and Cashflow

  • Oversee cash requirements for development entities taking into consideration timing of GST and bank financing
  • Ensure entities maintain adequate levels of cash to meet short and long term requirements
  • Manage monthly draws of debt from banks including liaising with quantity surveyor, providing non-construction costs

Accounts Payable/Account Receivable

  • Process payables and distributions on a monthly basis
  • Attend to invoicing on a monthly basis as required
  • Oversee administration of leases and appropriate increases are applied
  • Oversee preparation of yearly outgoings adjustment
  • Monthly bank reconciliations
  • Preparation of monthly BASs for development entities

Ad hoc

  • Apply for registrations for development entities (ABN, TFN, GST)
  • Handle any enquiries related to development entities
  • Assist with answering questions from investors
  • Any other ad hoc duties as requested by the team

Skills and experience

  • Knowledge of MYOB and MS Office is a must
  • Knowledge of Xero is beneficial but not required
