Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or any relevant course
  • Preferably a Certified Public Accountant
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a CPA firm
  • At least 1 year of work experience as a Tax Preparer in a US CPA firm
  • Working knowledge in the preparation of Forms 990, 1120, 1040, and 1099
  • Ability to utilize advanced Excel tools, including Pivot Tables, VLookup
  • Experience in CCH Axcess or Prosystemfx tax and Caseware,
  • Amenable to work in a Hybrid set-up
  • Willing to work the night shift

Responsibilities:

  • Perform accounting necessary procedures as needed or as assigned;
  • Meet the billable hours set by the Client;
  • Handle and manage multiple priorities, and deliver projects and engagements on time, within budget, and to the client's satisfaction;
  • Completion of tasks/projects in accordance with the defined procedures and within quality parameters with minimal errors;
  • Prepare accurate and timely tax returns (990, 1040, 1065, 1120, etc.) for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and other entities;
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations;
  • Communicate with clients to gather necessary financial information and documentation required for tax preparation;
  • Conduct research on complex tax issues and stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations;
  • Provide support during tax audits, including gathering documentation and responding to inquiries from tax authorities;
  • Maintain organized and detailed records of tax returns, financial statements, and related documentation;
  • Stay informed of current economic developments relevant to each client's business and industry;
  • Utilize tax preparation software to prepare and file returns efficiently
  • Demonstrate professionalism; and
  • Perform other job-related duties as necessary, and ability to work additional hours as needed.
