Responsibilities:

  • Perform audit and/or accounting necessary procedures as needed or as assigned;
  • Execute audit procedures, including substantive testing, control testing, and analytical reviews;
  • Identify and assess audit risks and develop audit programs to address these risks;
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and recommend improvements;
  • Examine and analyze financial statements, income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements for accuracy and completeness;
  • Review client financial statements including all footnote disclosures and supplemental schedules, recalculate capital allocation in accordance with partnership agreements;
  • Ensure compliance with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) as applicable;
  • Maintain effective communication with clients to gather information, address concerns, and provide insights into audit findings;
  • Prepare and present audit reports to clients, highlighting key findings and recommendations;
  • Provide advisory services to clients on accounting and internal control matters;
  • Foster a collaborative and productive work environment within the audit team;
  • Stay updated on changes in accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practices affecting the financial services and consumer goods sector;
  • Ensure audits adhere to all relevant regulatory requirements;
  • Maintain organized and comprehensive audit documentation that supports findings, conclusions, and recommendations;
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and tools to streamline audit processes; and
  • Prepare clear and concise working papers and financial statements.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or any relevant course
  • Preferably a CPA but not required
  • At least 3 years of working experience in external audit
  • Must have experience handling 2 to 3 engagements in the financial services industry
  • Has excellent oral and verbal communication skills
  • Extensive experience with fair value appraisals for real estate funds.
  • Well-rounded knowledge of accounting principles; knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS
  • Ability to utilize advanced Excel tools, including Pivot Tables, VLookup
  • Works well in a team as well as individually
  • Communication/People skills
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Amenable to work in a Hybrid set-up
  • Willing to work the night shift
