About the job Project Engineer (for a Shipyard client)
KEY TASK RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Inspect vessel before towing and dry-docking to identify works that need to be accomplished.
- Interact daily with the clients to respond to their needs, requirements and answer their queries.
- Develops project objectives and project plan.
- Overall supervision and monitoring on handled Project. Supervise progress works of assigned projects. Ensure that works will be completed on time. Identify and resolve obstructions that may cause delays in meeting the deadline.
- Committed to monitor the manpower assigned to their handled project and daily coordination to vessels drydocking works with pictures.
- Coordinate Drydocking works to foreman, supervisor, contractors, client or clients authorized representative and all project team.
- Prepare a Gantt chart to monitor status of assigned projects.
- Prepare and complete dry-docking documents and reports.
- Check and review all materials needed for dry-docking works. Check delivered materials and update status.
- Draw Shell Expansion and other drawings related to repair works.
- Prepare dry-docking works acceptance.
- Ensure and maintain a safe and clean working environment. Develop measures to assure personnel safety.
- Promote safe practices at the job site and enforce safety guidelines.
- Cooperate and communicate effectively with manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
WORKING CONDITION:
- Working hours are typically 8 hours, and will be working in shipyard setting.
MINIMUM JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
- BS Degree in Engineering or relevant field
- Proven working experience at Shipyard/Drydocking
- Advanced MS Office skill
- Excellent knowledge of design and using design software such as AutoCAD
- Ability to work with multiple discipline project
