About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and client-focused Senior Accountant to join our growing team. This role serves as a trusted advisor to clients, overseeing accounting engagements, reviewing financial reporting deliverables, providing financial insights, and ensuring exceptional client service. The ideal candidate has a strong public accounting background, excellent technical accounting expertise, and the ability to build lasting client relationships while managing multiple engagements in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, building strong relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service.
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP and other applicable accounting standards.
- Provide clients with financial insights, recommendations, and accounting guidance to support business growth and operational efficiency.
- Assist clients with accounting, bookkeeping, month-end close processes, account reconciliations, and financial reporting requirements.
- Review work prepared by accounting staff, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with professional standards.
- Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality service delivery.
- Identify opportunities to improve clients' accounting processes, internal controls, and reporting procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address client needs and deliver value-added solutions.
- Stay current with accounting standards, industry trends, and regulatory changes that may impact clients.
- Mentor and support junior team members by providing coaching, technical guidance, and performance feedback.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of public accounting experience, preferably with exposure to client-facing engagements.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting principles.
- Experience in financial statement preparation, compilations, reviews, bookkeeping, and account reconciliations.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, UltraTax, or similar accounting platforms.
- Proven ability to manage client relationships and communicate effectively with stakeholders at various levels.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work in a deadline-driven environment.
- Willing to work a hybrid schedule and report to the office as required.
- Willing to work night shift to support U.S.-based clients and operations.
