We are seeking an organized and diplomatic Parking Assistant to coordinate daily parking operations, manage specialized database entry, and support campus transit programs

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required. A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of two years of customer service experience and at least one year of cash handling experience.
  • Communication & Diplomacy: Excellent oral and written communication skills with a proven ability to handle sensitive customer complaints with tact and diplomacy.
  • Organization: Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Background in parking and transportation operations.
  • Experience with permit or transactional sales and general administrative work.

Core Responsibilities

  • Operations Coordination: Manage day-to-day functions of the Parking Office to meet university goals regarding transit and parking priorities, timelines, and budgets. [1]
  • Database & Report Management: Utilize T2's Flex database to run inventory reports, build customer queries, allocate permits for online sales, and coordinate e-business transactions. [1]
  • TDM Program Oversight: Coordinate Transportation, including carpool initiatives, car-share programs, occasional parking, and the injured student shuttle service. [1]
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all access/revenue control systems, pay-in-lane, and pay-on-foot equipment function properly. Schedule preventive maintenance and collaborate with industry vendors for parts and repairs. [1]
  • Transit Support: Work with transportation management to collect, analyze, and report passenger counts while ensuring transit providers adhere to posted schedules.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage daily cash-handling operations and lot inventory counts with limited supervision. [1]
  • Event Logistics & Projects: Manage special projects, track timelines, and assist supervisors in planning parking and transit logistics for campus events.
